Factiva: New interface & content

The Factiva interface will be revamped on April 30. Anticipate a color change (blue and white rather than green and gray) and a more streamlined look.

The functionality of the database will remain constant, overall. For instance, you will still be able to use Intelligent Indexing options such as source/company/industry before you search, or Discovery Pane options (left side of results screen) after you search, to focus in on useful results.

The content of this database–namely worldwide news sources–will also be enhanced.  Sources are now available in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian and Melayu. To search in these or others among Factiva’s 26 languages, click the Language option on the lower section of the search screen to choose your source language.

Information on U.K.-based companies has also been strengthened.

Questions about searching Factiva? Ask a Librarian or contact Shana Gass, librarian for the College of Business & Economics.
