Banned Books Week

This week marks Banned Books Week; Cook Library along with other libraries across the country are celebrating the freedom to read.

On Wednesday, September 28th from 10:20am until about 1:00pm, Towson students, faculty, and staff will read aloud passages of their choosing from their favorite banned or challenged books.  We will hear from books ranging from Sidereus Nuncius by Galileo to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling to the dictionary. (Yes, the dictionary has been banned!)

We hope that you will stop by the library and listen for your favorite banned or challenged book.  We’ll be out in front of the library if the weather is nice or in the library lobby if it isn’t.
