KONY 2012 Library Resource Guide

Early this month the KONY 2012 video went viral on the web informing anyone that would watch about the Ugandan warlord, Joseph Kony. While the name Kony is new to many Americans, an arrest warrant was issued for Kony and others in his militia group by the International Criminal Court back in 2005. While the video continues to gain support, the video and American group, Invisible Children, that produced it, have begun to face criticisms. This resource guide created by Librarian Shannon Simpson and Library Associate Amanda Youngbar with a small contribution from Librarian Joyce Garczynski is designed to inform users about the KONY 2012 video and campaign along with a deeper understanding of the issues raised. We welcome your feedback.
