Sacred Text as Art Exhibit
Tuesday, November 5th – Friday, December 20th
Cook Library 3rd Floor

 

 

 

An exhibit of select volumes from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute Joseph Meyerhoff Collection including:

–A 1693 Yiddish edition of the Meshal ha-Kadmoni, or The Fable of the Ancient

–David de Castro Tartas’s Sermoes que pregaraõ os Doctos Ingenios do Kahal Kadosh de Talmud Torah, or Sermons which were delivered by the talented gentlemen of the holy congregation Talmud Torah in 1675

–A pair of Haggadot, texts which set forth the order of the Passover Seder, printed in Amsterdam in 1695 and 1712.
