The Music of Fantasy Lands
Tuesday, April 15th 7:00-8:00pm
Center for the Arts, RM 3080

 

 

Lisa Woznicki, Performing Arts Librarian and Department of Music Instructor, will explore the use of music in fantasy films and TV shows based on literary works.  Highlights include adaptations of Ursula LeGuin’s Earthsea series, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and the Harry Potter series.  Co-sponsored by Cook Library and the Department of Music, this event is funded by the Big Read program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.  Free copies of “The Wizard of Earthsea” will be available.
